KUWAIT, April 30 (KUNA) -- The Interior Ministry denied news reports
circulated recently by some social media outlets over an increase in fees and
fines for traffic violations, saying that this is not quite true.
The ministry said in a press statement issued by the Security Media
Department today that the ministry was studying some proposals and statistics
demanding imposition of strict penalties for certain traffic violations due to
their direct impact on the safety of road users.
It added that the issues is currently being studied by specialized
personnel of the competent authorities and has not been completed or approved
yet.
The ministry appealed to all to seek accurate news from credible sources
