(with photo) GENEVA, Aug 26 (KUNA) -- Member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) namely Kuwait have contributed effectively in achieving the victory of the 17th February revolution in Libya, said Libyan deputy permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva (UNOG) Adel Shaltut.
The Libyan diplomat, in the remarks to KUNA, highly considered the Kuwaiti Amir, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the government and the people on their support for the Libyan people.
The new Libya will cooperate with the Gulf states in all fields, said Shaltut, who made the very well known statement in February 25th, before the UN Human Rights Council special session on Libya, where he declared that the Libyan Mission to UNOG is would no longer represent the Gaddafi regime.
