Two killed in Sri Lankan trainer aircraft crash
NEW DELHI, March 1 (KUNA) -- At least two people were killed when a trainer
aircraft of the Air Force crashed Thursday in Sri Lanka's Northcentral
district of Anuradhapura.
News agency Indo-Asian News Service said that a PT-6 trainer aircraft of
the Sri Lanka Air Force crashed within minutes after taking off inside the
Anuradhapura air base Thursday noon.
Both the trainer and the instructor died on the spot, the news agency said.
Engine failure was the reason for the crash. (end)
