Kuwait Deputy PM, Interior Min, chairs civil defense meeting

KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah chaired Monday a meeting in the joint civil defense operations room, attended by all relevant state agencies.
The meeting reflects the commitment of the Interior Ministry to monitoring the situation and to checking on preparations to deal with various circumstances, the ministry said in a press release.
During the meeting, Sheikh Fahad was briefed on the room's work mechanism and listened to a detailed explanation on all relevant bodies' tasks and duties, it said.
He commended the high level of all bodies' fruitful coordination, cooperation and efforts, showing the field performance efficiency and capability of handling any emergency with professionalism and integration. (end) ajr.mt
