WASHINGTON, March 2 (KUNA) -- The CENTCOM announced on Monday that the death toll from the Iranian attacks has climbed to six soldiers, with the continuation of US military operations against Tehran since Saturday dawn.
On its "X" account, the CENTCOM said "US forces recently recovered the remains of two previously unaccounted for service members from a facility that was struck during Iran's initial attacks in the region."
"Major combat operations continue. The identities of the fallen are being withheld until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification," CENTCOM added.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump declared his country's readiness to continue military operations against Iran for "weeks" if necessary.
Speaking to the 'New York Times' in briefings, Trump said the 'Pentagon' maintains enough military potential to continue attacks on Iran from four to five weeks if necessary. (pickup previous)
