KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Interior Ministry personnel are ready to deal with all incidents in Kuwait amidst regional developments, Undersecretary Major-General Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib said Monday and affirmed that safety of the public was a top priority.
Al-Wuhaib warned against taking photographs or record videos of security-related incidents in the country because it would cause panic and anxiety among the public.
Speaking to KUNA and Al-Akhbar channel while visiting the decision-making room at the Civil Defense Department, Al-Wuhaib said the Ministry of Interior would not tolerate any act that undermined security and safety of people.
"We will put an end to these wrong practices, and indeed we dealt with a number of cases" who would face proper punishment.
"We assume there are sleeping cells ... and we are ready for them," he affirmed.
He urged the public not to listen to rumours and seek news from official sources.
Al-Wuhaib said the decision-making room aimed at facilitating coordination among different ministries and departments. (end) ajr.bs
