Occupation airstrikes hit southern Suburbs of Beirut, causing major material damage

BEIRUT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Israeli occupation warplanes carried out intense airstrikes on Monday targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut and various towns and areas in southern Lebanon, causing significant material damage.
The Israeli occupation air force targeted the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Foundation locations in the cities of Tyre, Nabatieh, and the towns of Mashghara and Maroub, inflicting heavy damage to surrounding buildings and public and private property.
Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese Cabinet declared an immediate ban on all security and military activities by Hezbollah in the political sphere.
During an emergency Cabinet session, President Joseph Aoun stressed that those who launched rockets from Lebanese territory toward the occupied Palestinian territories "bear full responsibility for their actions, and the Lebanese people are not responsible for this reckless operation." (end) fz.aa
