MUSCAT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Bader Al-Busaidi reaffirmed Oman's stance, calling for an end to the US-Israeli occupation military actions against Iran and a return to dialogue and negotiations.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the remarks came within the framework of ongoing diplomatic contacts between Al-Busaidi and his counterparts in brotherly and friendly countries regarding developments in the regional conflict and its escalating repercussions.
The Omani ministry added that several foreign ministers from allied and friendly nations echoed similar positions, calling for de-escalation and restraint, while expressing "deep concern" over the continuation of the war and its serious threats to regional and global peace and security, in addition to its humanitarian, political, and economic consequences.
They stressed the urgent need to halt military actions and prevent the conflict from spreading, noting that military solutions would only "deepen the crisis and increase the suffering of the peoples of the region," and urged addressing the root causes of the conflict through constructive dialogue and diplomacy.
