KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) - The Ministry of Interior monitored and apprehended a number of individuals involved in serious violations affecting public security and societal stability.
The arrests included persons who illegally filmed events and circulated video clips, contributing to public disorder, misleading public opinion, and spreading fear among citizens and residents.
The Ministry also confirmed that the Criminal Security Sector detained individuals for publishing content expressing sympathy toward terrorist organizations via personal accounts and social media platforms.
The Ministry stressed that its security apparatus continues to conduct close monitoring of all social media platforms and workplaces, vowing to pursue anyone who violates the law.
Legal measures have been initiated against all those apprehended, who have been referred to the competent authorities.
The Ministry also noted that previous warnings had been issued against such criminal practices and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance approach toward anyone attempting to undermine national security.
The Ministry urged citizens and residents to obtain information exclusively from official state sources, prioritize national interest by refraining from sharing unverified clips, and fully comply with directives prohibiting the filming of ongoing events or authorities performing their duties.
These measures aim to avoid legal consequences and ensure the effectiveness of security operations, safeguarding the security and safety of Kuwait. (end)
