UAE launches special flights for stranded passengers

ABU DHABI, March 2 (KUNA) -- UAE General Civil Aviation Authority announced the launch of exceptional flights at the country's airports to facilitate the departure of stranded passengers affected by recent regional developments.
In a statement carried by Emirates News Agency (WAM), the Authority urged passengers whose flights were affected not to head to airports until they had been contacted by their respective airlines and informed of updated flight timings and details, to avoid congestion and ensure smooth procedures.
The Authority expressed appreciation for passengers' cooperation, stressing that adherence to issued instructions plays a key role in facilitating procedures and maintaining regular operational flow. (end) skm.aa
