MANAMA, March 2 (KUNA) - Bahrain National Communication Center announced Monday that air defense missile systems successfully intercepted a new wave of hostile attacks involving Iranian ballistic missiles and drones targeting the Kingdom, with high efficiency and competence.
In a statement, the Center said the total number of hostile attacks amounted to 70 ballistic missiles and 59 drones.
It stressed that the targeting of civilian objects and private property by ballistic missiles and drones constitutes a grave violation of the sovereignty of Bahrain and a blatant breach of international laws and norms.
The Kingdom, it affirmed, reserves its legal right to respond and take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Center clarified that the relevant authorities immediately addressed limited debris resulting from interception operations at several sites in accordance with approved protocols, noting that monitoring and follow-up operations continue under an integrated system operating at the highest levels of readiness, efficiency, and vigilance.
It renewed its call for adherence to instructions issued by competent authorities and urged the public to verify information through official sources and refrain from circulating rumors or inaccurate reports, in a manner that enhances awareness and national responsibility under the current circumstances.
