US pres. condemns Iranian aggression on Bahrain

MANAMA, March 1 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump condemned during a phone call Sunday with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Iranian aggression that targeted Bahraini territories.
He affirmed the US support and solidarity with Bahrain and its readiness to provide all forms of assistance in any measures it may take to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
During the call, President Trump praised the developments witnessed by the Kingdom during the prosperous era of the King of Bahrain, highlighting the developmental and civilizational achievements accomplished across various fields, as well as the comprehensive progress that has strengthened its regional and international standing.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the level of advancement in bilateral relations between the two countries and the steady progress and close coordination across various areas.
He affirmed his country's keenness to continue strengthening joint cooperation and advancing it in a manner that serves mutual interests and fulfills the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.
For his part, the King of Bahrain commended the depth of the historical partnership between both countries, which is based on a long history of close relations, cooperation, and joint coordination at all levels to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
