BEIRUT, Feb 2 (KUNA) - At least one person was killed and eight others were injured in two Israeli occupation airstrikes in southern Lebanon, said Lebanese Ministry of Public Health on Monday.
According to a statement from the Public Health Emergency Operations Center, an Israeli strike on the town of Ansariyeh in the Sidon area killed one citizen and injured four others. Another Israeli strike targeted the town of Al-Qulaila in the Tyre area, leaving four people wounded.
In the context of repeated Israeli attacks, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that earlier in the day, an Israeli army unit infiltrated the border town of Aita al-Shaab, planted explosives in a house, and destroyed it.
Israeli forces have continued targeting towns, vehicles, and motorcycles in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on November 27, 2024. (end)
