Kuwait Navy joins "Gulf Peace 1"

RIYADH, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Naval Force, in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Royal Navy, carried out the joint bilateral military exercise "Gulf Peace 1" at King Abdulaziz Naval Base on Friday.
In a press release, the Kuwaiti army said that the drills included the implementation of several field scenarios aimed at advancing the level of the participating units' combat readiness, enhancing joint coordination, and unifying tactical concepts in naval operations.
The exercise included command and control procedures via naval operation centers, training on search and rescue operations, managing naval battles, repelling unmanned boats' threats, defense and protection exercises for oil platforms at sea, along with live-fire exercises for participating ships and boats, according to the release.
The drills are part of the Kuwaiti Navy's scheduled trainings with sisterly and friendly countries' naval forces, which contribute to boosting the efficiency and performance of participating forces. (end) kns.mt
