Kuwait wins 30 medals at Gulf Swimming Championship in UAE

ABU DHABI, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti National swimming team won 30 medals in both men and women's categories in the 30th Gulf Swimming Championship held in the United Arab Emirates, Friday.
This came during the first two days of the championship, with participation of 200 swimmers from 6 countries.
Kuwait's 30 medals were varied, comprising of 11 golds, 11 silvers, and 8 bronzes.
The Kuwait National team is participating with 40 players, include nine female athletes, marking Kuwait's first participation in women's swimming competitions in the history of the championship.
The competition is organized by the UAE Aquatic Sports Federation and will continue until Sunday.
