Luis Enrique confirms PSG's readiness for French Super Cup clash with Marseille

KUWAIT, Jan 7 (KUNA) - Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique confirmed on Wednesday that his team is fully prepared to face Marseille in the French Super Cup football match tomorrow, Thursday at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the match, Enrique said the team is well aware of the difficulty of the encounter against a very strong side, noting that the match represents the "French football Clasico." He expressed great confidence in his players' ability to give their best.
Enrique added that playing in a final is in itself a strong motivational factor for everyone involved, including the technical, medical and administrative staff as well as the players, stressing the importance of maintaining focus to achieve a positive result and avoid mistakes.
He noted that he has prepared for all aspects of the match and is considering even the finest details, pointing out that winning requires maintaining possession and exerting maximum effort both with and without the ball.
The PSG coach said that the tactical plan for the Super Cup depends on the nature of the match itself, as every game has its own circumstances. Enrique also expressed satisfaction with the players' mental readiness, describing it as one of the team's main strengths, particularly after recent negative results, and stressed that such mentality is what leads to victories and titles.
In turn, PSG defender Marquinhos said that winning many titles does not mean underestimating finals, emphasizing that competing for trophies always motivates Paris Saint-Germain to pursue further success.
Marquinhos expressed his great respect for Marseille, praising the team's talented players and experienced coach, who does not accept defeat, and underlined the difficulty of the match against such a strong opponent.
He urged his teammates to exert greater effort to secure the title, warning that any loss of concentration would negatively affect performance, while expressing confidence in the players' ability to handle pressure and clinch the Super Cup.
