KUWAIT, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- In a thrilling final, Kuwait SC triumphed over their rivals Al-Arabi SC with a decisive 2-0 victory, clinching the prestigious Amir Cup title for the 2024-2025 season.
This remarkable achievement marks the club's 17th time lifting the coveted trophy, drawing them level with Al-Qadsia SC's long-standing record.
The final, played the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The fans' enthusiasm was palpable, inspiring the players on the pitch.
Kuwait SC initiated their offensive masterclass early and applies relentless pressure on their rivals. In the sixth minute, Kuwait SC player Yousef Nasser broke the deadlock from the penalty spot.
The momentum continued to favor the Kuwait SC; Mohammed Daham doubled their advantage with a stunning strike in the 39th minute, giving his side a commanding two-goal lead heading into the interval.
