GAZA, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Health officials in Gaza Strip reported on Friday that several Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli occupation forces targeted a school sheltering displaced people east of Gaza City.
Palestinian eyewitnesses inside the school, who survived the attack, told KUNA that the Israeli shelling targeted the second floor of the school, where the director of the shelter was attending a wedding.
They added that the shelling resulted in the deaths of at least six Palestinians, including children, whose bodies were torn to pieces.
They reported that Israeli forces continued to fire heavily, preventing ambulance crews from reaching the school to retrieve the dead and wounded.
Earlier, Israeli artillery targeted a group of Palestinians, killing four, including a woman, east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
These attacks are part of a series of Israeli occupation violations of the ceasefire agreement reached between Palestinian factions and Israel, which came into effect on October 11th. (end)
