Kuwait First Deputy PM visits the French gendarmerie southeastern region

PARIS, Oct 10 (KUNA) -- The visiting Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, accompanied by the Kuwaiti ambassador to France Abdullah Al-Shahin, on Friday visited the southeastern region of the French gendarmerie.
The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry said in a press statement that the first deputy prime minister was received upon his arrival by the Commander of the gendarmerie southeastern region, Frederic Boudier.
Sheikh Fahad Yusuf, who lauded the high capacity and the field experience of the French internal security forces, examined the base sections and was briefed on the diverse tasks by officers. He also attended a military parade including a mock clampdown on riots and order keeping operations with employment of drones and copters.
At the command headquarters, he attended a visual presentation about planning, security management of events and great occasions.
The statement quoted the French commander as welcoming the visit that signaled depth of the relations between the two friendly countries. (end) ajr.rk
