Brussels, Oct 1 (KUNA)--The Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) announced Wednesday that the annual inflation rate in the euro area rose to 2.2 percent in September 2025, compared with 2.0 percent in August, according to preliminary estimates.
In a statement, the office explained that the services sector recorded the highest annual inflation rate in September at 3.2 percent compared with 3.1 percent in August, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco at 3.0 percent compared with 3.2 percent in August, while non-energy industrial goods remained stable at 0.8 percent compared with the previous month.
It added that the energy sector recorded a decline of 0.4 percent in September, compared with a decrease of 2.0 percent in August. (end)
