Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah with Assistant Undersecretary for planning Dr. Sayyed Issa Mahmoud
KUWAIT, May 19 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Social Affairs announced on Monday accomplishing 99 percent of its operating plan for the fiscal year (2024-2025) amounting to 178 projects and declared achieving 100 percent of its strategy for the same year encompassing 50 ventures.
Minister of Social Affairs, Family Affairs and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah said at news conference these achievements "embody our unwavering commitment to the guidance of the political leadership and reflects effective harmony (among the relevant authorities) with respect of implementing New Kuwait Vision 2035."
The ministry is pressing ahead toward full digital transformation in its social services, based on strategic partnerships with international technological companies and intensive training programs to habilitate the staff, the minister said.
The ministry will maintain the adherence to operating and strategic planning, responsible work and transparency for enhancing the society's welfare, minister Al-Huwailah stated.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sayyed Issa Mahmoud, the assistant undersecretary for planning, said a technological partnership was underway with an international company to digitize most of the ministry's tasks, in tandem with a program to train all the personnel on the new digital system.
On the achieved projects, he said eight sectors completed their ventures by 100 percent. The minister and undersecretary's bureaus recorded 98 percent accomplishment, the social development bureau 96 percent and the family affairs council 95 percent. (end)
