KUWAIT, April 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Embassy in Japan participated in the annual Arab charity bazaar that was opened by the wife of the Japanese Prime Minister in the capital Tokyo.
The embassy said in a statement received by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) here today that the bazaar was organized by the society of wives of Arab ambassadors in Japan. The gathering showcased Arab handicrafts and cultural heritage as well as popular Arab cuisine of various Arab countries.
The statement said that the wife of Kuwait's ambassador to Japan Jameela Al-Otaibi represented the Kuwaiti pavilion.
It noted that the wife of the Japanese prime minister toured the Kuwaiti pavilion and listened to a brifing from Al-Otaibi about the Kuwaiti handicrafts and products.
The statement pointed out that the Kuwaiti pavilion also contained various Kuwaiti products including traditional apparels, coffee, incense and souvenirs.
Al-Otaibi, for her part, said most of the earnings from this bazaar would be allocated for charitable work. (end) tg
