GAZA, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Israeli jets targeted a military site in Gaza Strip, which resulted in killing two young Palestinians and many injured, Palesinian medics said on Saturday.
In a sharp escalation of violence over President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
The Spokesman for Palestinian ministry of health, Ashraf Al-Qadra, said rescue teams were able to recover the two dead bodies underneath the rubbles, west of Gaza Strip.
The two martyrs are Abdullah Al-Attal and Mohammad Al-Safadi, the spokesman said, adding that the number of marytrs since yesterday are 4 people and more than 170 injrued.
Earlier, Israeli warplanes made several air raids north of Gaza, which resulted in injuring many Palestinians, among them children.
Earlier on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump recognized in a much-anticipated announcement Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Trump also announced that he had directed the State Department to begin preparations to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
The US president's decision has sparked wide-scale condemnation and rejection at Arab, Islamic and international levels. (end)
