EU condemns terrorist attack in New York

BRUSSELS, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- The European Union (EU) condemned Wednesday the terrorist attack that struck the city of New York yesterday, taking the lives of at least eight people.
"We send our heartfelt condolences to the victims, their loved ones and to the American people," said Catherine Ray, spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini.
"The EU stands with the US. We will remain united and steadfast in protecting our citizens and defeat terrorism," she noted in the brief statement. (end) nk.hb
