Brussels station attacker acted alone - reports

BRUSSELS, June 21 (KUNA) -- Brussels Central Station, the scene of a failed terrorist attack last night, reopened Wednesday morning, Belgian media reported.
The attacker is said to be a 37-year-old man from Molenbeek district and police are conducting house searches there. Molenbbek was home to the terror attackers of Paris in 2015 and Brussels in 2016.
The man reportedly acted by himself, although this is still being investigated.
There was a small explosion in one of the main halls of the Central Station in Brussels Tuesday night and police managed to shoot the terrorist, killing him on the spot.
There were no other victims of the attack. The terror alert level in Belgium remains at 3 at present. (end) nk.hb
