Justice minister Al-Azb arrives in Vienna for crime conf.

VIENNA, May 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Minister of State for the National Assembly Affairs Dr. Faleh Al-Azab arrived here on Monday to participate in the 26th session of the UN commission on crime prevention and criminal justice due to kick off later today. Miniser Al-Azb is scheduled to participate in sideline a workshop, organized by the State of Kuwait, themed "the State of Kuwait efforts in combating terrorism and organized crimes," due on Thursday.
It will feature the Gulf State efforts in combating terrorism through international cooperation against the so-called "Islamic state," implementation of relevant UN resolutions, publicizing national legislations and protecting youth against misguidance.
Kuwait advocates sovereignty of the laws, international and regional cooperation in combating all forms of crimes.
The UN meeting's agenda deals with strategies to prevent crime, exact justice, masses' support for the sovereignty of laws. Conferees will review a similar gathering dye in Japan in 2020.
Kuwait is partaking with a senior level delegation headed by minister Al-Azb. (end) amq.rk
