KUWIAT, Dec 25 (KUNA) -- On January 6, Qadssiya Sports Club wond the first position, clinching 196 points, in the local field and track open games. Sahel Sports Club (158) came in second and Thadamon Sports Club came in third position making 143 points.
On February 5, Arabi Sports Club won the 4th Volleyball Championship League, beating Qadssiya 3-2.
On February 24, Kuwait National Gymnastic teams clinched seven golds, ten silver and nine bronze medals in the 9th GCC Gymnastic games in Qatar.
On March 2, The Kuwait-based Olymic Council of Asia (OCA) issued its official news cast (Asia Sports).
On March 3, Sahel Sports Club was able of winning the national youth and cubs field and track preliminary championship.
On March 8, the three-day 9th GCC Mens athletic games and 5th Women athletic games came to an end.

On June 7, Kazema Sports Club football team won the 49th Amir's Cup, the 7th in the club's record. On June 11, Fahaheel Sports Club handball team won the league's championship beating Al-Arabi Sports Club 31-22.
On June 13, Kuwait Handicapped National Team wins two silver and a bronze medal in the Thailand International Table Tennis Open.
On June 28, another Kuwait Handicapped National Team won seven medals including two golds in the 5th Tunisia International Games.
On July 10 Kuwaiti Mohammad Al-Azmi won the gold medal in the 800 meter men's race in the 19th Asia Games in Japan.
On July 14, The 23rd Diving Revival Voyage kicked off activities. The annual activity in organized under patronage of His Highness the Amir. At least 180 young divers onboard 15 boats took part.
