Sheikh Mubarak visits KUNA bureau in Ankara

(With Photos) ANKARA, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah visited on Saturday KUNA's bureau here to take a close look at the course of work there, as part of his tour of such bureaus with the view to enhance their productivity.
He listened to a presentation on the work done at the bureau from its chief Muhammad Al-Metairi, who underlined the ongoing cooperation between KUNA and Turkey's Anatolia news agency.
Sheikh Mubarak urged the personnel at the bureau to spotlight the role Kuwait boasts regionally and underscored the need to report news faithfully and accurately.
Furthermore he asked that the bureau keep close ties with the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission in Turkey and with official Turkish ministries and government agencies and to glean news from all these sources as Turkey has assumed a high profile position and a focal point for news gathering due to its propitious location striding the European and Asian continents.
