Ten civilians ''mistakenly'' killed, more injured S. Yemen

SANAA, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- At least 10 civilians were killed and tens others injured "mistakenly" in raids launched by the Yemeni Air Force on Ja'ar of Abyan Province southern Yemen earlier on Monday, it was reported here.
According to local sources, Yemeni jetfighters targeted a number of Al-Qaeda locations, yet it hit a mosque, a hospital and a market place, by mistake, which resulted in the casualties.
In a related story, the popular committees in Lawdar district of Abyan Province arrested on Monday a suicide bomber of al-Qaeda, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense announced.
According to a ministry statement, the man was intending to execute an attack on the 111th Brigade Camp, adding that another terrorist has managed to escape.
The suicide bomber, 19, from Marib Province, was arrested with an explosive belt and two grenades, the statement noted.
Preliminary information indicated that the suicide bomber belonged to an Al-Qaeda terrorist cell that targets the popular committees' youths and citizens in Lawdar. (end) az.hb KUNA 052011 Sep 11NNNN
