SANAA, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- A suicide attacker blew his bomb-laden car close to
a military checkpoint at the northern entrance of Aden Governorate, south
Yemen, Saturday, killing five soldiers and injuring seven others.
The deadly attack took place between Aden and Abyan cities, a military
source told KUNA here.
"The death toll is expected to rise since the condition of some of the
injured is life-threatening," the source said under anonymity.
"The attack bears the hallmarks of the terrorist Al-Qaeda Organization in
Yemen which fights a fierce battle against the government troops in Abyan
Governorate more than three months ago," he added. (end)
