ALGIERS, June 25 (KUNA) -- Two Algerian soldiers were severely injured on
Saturday when a homemade bomb was detonated east of the capital.
A security source said in a press statement the bomb was planted by a
terrorist group in the town of Beni Zaid.
The source said that the two soldiers, in their 20s, were bringing water
when the remotely controlled bomb exploded at a water resource location.
The two soldiers had varied degrees of injuries and were transferred to
military hospital, the source added.
Algerian military forces started a search operation in the area in pursuit
of the armed terrorist groups. (end)
