BAGHDAD, March 4 (KUNA) -- Thousands of Iraqi demonstrators are flowing to
Baghdad and other Iraqi cities in what is called "Friday of Dignity" in
protest against poor services and boringly sluggish efforts against alleged
corruption and fraud in Iraq.
Coming from several Baghdad suburbs, Irate protesters are thronging Al
Tahrir Square.
Seemingly geared up for disgruntled demonstrations, unlike last Friday,
Iraqi security and military forces are determined to fend off clashes and
confrontations with protesters.
They are deploying in the streets leading up to the square.
The protesters call for better services and genuinely serious efforts to
wipe out administrative corruption in the country.
Baghdad security organs have imposed a curfew for cars and motorcycles in
Baghdad as of last night. (end)
