AMMAN, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- The Jordanian Ministry of Health announced on
Wednesday the ninth death from the H1N1 (swine flu) pandemic, with 130
discovered cases so far.
According to a ministry statement, 73 cases recovered from the flu, while
30 others are being home-treated and 18 more in hospitals; two of which are
critical ones.
H1N1 made a comeback to the Kingdom late in 2010. The pandemic peaked in
Jordan in 2009, with some 3,000 discovered cases.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Jordanian fatalities
are part of 18,500 reported deaths since the disease broke out on an
international scale back in April 2009. (end)
