AMMAN, Jan 3 (KUNA) -- The Jordanian Ministry of Health said on Monday that
H1N1 (swine flu) cases recorded in the Kingdom have risen to 52 since the
disease broke out in the country in early December 2010.
Two fresh cases of the pandemic were confirmed earlier today.
H1N1 made a comeback to the Kingdom late in 2010. The pandemic peaked in
Jordan in 2009, with some 3,000 discovered cases, 16 of which died.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Jordanian fatalities
are part of 18,500 reported deaths since the disease broke out on an
international scale back in April 2009. (end)
