Baghdad airport shutdown due to employee killing

BAGHDAD, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- Baghdad International Airport was shutdown on Sunday for two and a half hours, after US troops shot and killed an Iraqi airport employee.
Airport security sources told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), that the airport was closed for more than two hours after US troops shot and killed Hassan Hilwas, an airport employee, near the airport entrance inspection point.
Sources added, a US military convoy attempted to stop the man, who they spotted driving a vehicle at high speed, as he did not respond to US signals, therefore the troops opened fire towards him. (end) mhg.asa KUNA 281322 Nov 10NNNN
