Palestinain leaders disapproves of US bribe to stop Israeli settlements

RAMALLAH, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Palestinian leaders disapproved on Wednesday of the US administration stand on offering bribes to Israel in order to temporarily and partially freeze settlement constructions in the West Bank for 90 days.
Palestinain leaders said, in a press statement following a meeting held in Ramallah, that such offer confirms that US administration is biased to the Israeli government and it failed to achieve improvement in the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
It added, that settlements construction is illegal and illegitimate and should be stopped in compliance to international law. There cannot be any serious political progress amid continued Israeli settlements constructions, especially, in East Jerusalem.
It stressed the seriousness of what Israel is doing in the holy city of ethnic cleansing, judaizing locals, expelling Palestinians, destroying houses and changing the historic and religious identity of Jerusalem.
There is a necessity to unite all efforts and eliminate any divisions among Palestinians.
This unity is essencial to pave the way for signing the Egyptian proposal and implementing mechanisms to prevent any future divisions.
On the other hand, Israel said it takes full responsibility in the failure of any peace talks due to settlement construction and expansion.
According to the US offer Israel would stop construction in the West Bank for 90 days. The freeze includes construction that began after the end of the first settlement moratorium on September 26. (end) nq.nfm KUNA 241403 Nov 10NNNN
