DAMASCUS, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Hamas is ready to end inter-Palestinian division
and go to Cairo to sign the Egyptian conciliation document, a top movement
official said Monday.
Politburo chief Khaled Mishal said Hamas was keen on achieving Palestinian
conciliation and end divisions between the Palestinian factions.
"We want a genuine conciliation and partnership in the Palestinian
Authority and PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) and end arrests in
Ramallah in order to face the Israeli stubbornness with a solid national unity,
" Mishal told reporters on sidelines of a National Day ceremony held by the
Lebanese Embassy.
Mishal said Hamas supported reformulating the Palestinian political
position to strengthen rejection of the Israeli policies.
He said Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas should reconsider his
political options and not to yield to any pressure. (end)
