RAMALLAH, Nov 7 (KUNA) -- Israeli jet fighters raided several targets in
Gaza Strip on Sunday damaging houses and a smuggling tunnel, security sources
reported.
The sources said F-16 warplanes hit houses and a tunnel in the towns of
Khan Youness and Rafah inflicting extensive damage.
Palestinians use underground tunnels across the border for trafficking.
Elsewhere, Israeli authorities demolished a mosque in the village of Rahet
at the pretext that it had been built without a license.
Israel radio said Palestinian activists hurled stones in the direction of
Israeli troops that escorted workers who brought down the mosque. The troops
fired back injuring a number of the protestors.
The mosque was used by Palestinian worshippers living in Israel.
Israeli leaders have called for expulsion of Palestinians from Israel to
set up "a pure Jewish State." (end)
