GAZA, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- A number of Palestinians were injured during
clashes with Israeli forces in neighborhoods and villages in occupied
Jerusalem on Saturday, local radio stations reported.
Most of the clashes took place in Silwan village, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque,
amidst Israeli military siege over the town following the murder of
Palestinian Samer Sarhan by a Jewish settlers' guard three days ago.
The radio reports said Palestinian youth were hurling stones and empty
bottles at the Israeli army vehicles, as well as setting tyres ablaze to
disturb traffic.
The Israeli forces fired sound and tear gas bombs at the Palestinians
injuring some of them, they added.
A 14-month-old Palestinian boy was killed when he inhaled the gas bombs
fired by the Israeli forces yesterday. (end)
