RAMALLAH, Sept 6 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian authority official charged Israel
on Monday with adopting a policY of procrastination aimed at using the
negotiations as a camouflage to pursue settlement activities.
Marwan Al-Barghouthi, the General Secretary of the Palestinian National
Initiative, said in a statement that recent remarks by Israeli Foreign
Minister Avigdor Lieberman ruling out a peace settlement Constituted a PROOF
that "there is no IsraelI partner for peace."
Al-Barghouthi said the Israeli schemes of continuing the construction of
the settlements at the expense of peace should be disclosed to the world.
Lieberman, known as hawkish toward the Palestinians, has recently ruled out
prospects of reaching a comprehensive settlement with the Palestinians soon.
