Two Iraqi policemen killed in separate attacks northern Iraq -- police

IRBIL, July 24 (KUNA) -- Two Iraqi policemen were killed and 18 civilians injured in separate attacks that hit Mosul northern Iraq on Saturday.
Unknown gunmen fired at a security checkpoint at al-Risala area western Mosul, which resulted in killing the policemen, a police source told KUNA.
Separately, unknown gunmen hurled a number of hand grenades at another security checkpoint stationed at the entry of a local market downtown Mosul, which left behind 18 civilians injured. No casualties were reported among policemen in this attack. (end) sbr.hb KUNA 242119 Jul 10NNNN
