RAMALLAH, July 13 (KUNA) -- Israeli forces closed off Al-Aghwar area and
declared it a military zone, setting up barriers and preventing Palestinian
citizens from entering or leaving the area, thus isolating it from the rest of
the West Bank.
Large numbers of Israeli soldiers were stationed at military checkpoints,
inspecting vehicles and inspecting passengers' identification, eyewitnesses
said.
The Israeli Army said it received "serious warning" concerning Al-Aghwar,
without adding any further details, Israeli sources said.
Meanwhile, four molotovs were thrown at vehicles of Jewish settlers,
northern Ramallah, Monday night. One targeted an ambulance, while the other
three hit cars on their way to a settlement in western Ramallah, an Israeli
military spokesman noted.
The spokesman said no casualties were reported, and there was no
Palestinian claim of responsibility, yet.(end)
