IRBIL, June 24 (KUNA) -- Six Iraqi policemen were killed and three others
injured on Thursday in two separate attacks in the northern city of Mosul.
On another front, Iraqi security forces arrested 12 suspects in Mosul.
An Iraqi police source told KUNA that unknown armed men attacked a checkpoint
in Al-Iqtisadeen area west of Mosul which resulted in killing three policemen.
Meanwhile, a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt attacked a police
patrol in central Mosul killing three policemen and seriously injuring two
others.
The source added an Iraqi military force concluded a raid operation in
Al-Rifaie area west of Mosul which resulted in the capture of 12 suspects who
were located inside a workers factory. (end)
