Explosion in Baghdad kills two Iraqi officers, wounds nine others

BAGHDAD, June 14 (KUNA) -- Two Iraqi officers were killed and nine others injured in an explosion targeted their patrol here on Monday.
Iraqi police sources said that the explosion of the federal police patrol took place in Al-Dora Area killing two police officers, and injuring seven others as well as two Iraqi civilians.
Iraqi police cordoned off the area, and sent the victims to Al-Yarmouk Hospital for treatment.
This is the deadliest attack that occured in Baghdad after the inaugration of the second legislative session of the Iraqi Parliament 2010. The explosion comes one day after a coordinated attack to break into the Central Bank of Iraq and the Banks complex in central Baghdad, which resulted in the killing of 17 people, including the seven suicide bombers, which also injured 45 others, mostly employees of the Iraqi Central Bank.
