Blast in SW Pakistan wounds 5

ISLAMABAD, June 12 (KUNA) -- At least five persons including a policeman were wounded in a bomb blast Saturday evening in a Pakistani Southwestern city, police confirmed.
A time-bomb, fastened to a small cart, exploded with a huge bang on Noor Road in Quetta, capital of Baluchistan province, said local police officer, Shahid Hamid. He told KUNA that the explosion wounded five persons including a policeman. At least three of the wounded were in critical condition, he added.
Earlier today, police sources said the policeman was killed but it appeared he was among the wounded.
Also, unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire at a paramilitary troops mobile van on Saryab Road in the city. However, there were no casualties.
Police sources said that two armed motorcyclists opened fire at a FC van on Saryab Road. Forces opened retaliatory fire, said sources, but the assailants managed to flee. (pickup previous) amn.bs KUNA 122037 Jun 10NNNN
