SANAA, June 9 (KUNA) -- Eleven Yemeni soldiers were injured in violent
clashes with ten gunmen suspected of belonging to al-Qaeda in the eastern
province of Marib province, Yemen.
The clashes started when government roops attempted to arrest one of
Al-Qaeda commanders.
According to tribal sources, Yemeni soldiers attacked the house of Hassan
Al-Eqeli who is accused of murdering Colonel Mohammed Saleh Al-Shayef and two
of his guards last Saturday.(end)
