KUWAIT, May 4 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Jordanian charitable
Authority Ahmed Al-Amyan said here on Tuesday that the Kuwaiti aid is among
the most important assistance received by the Gaza Strip, stressing that
Kuwait has always been proactive in supporting the Palestinian people.
Al-Amyan, who heads the delegation of the World Food Programme of the
United Nations, praised to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following his meeting
with Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society Barjas al-Barjas, the
humanitarian aid provided by the State of Kuwait for the affected people in
various parts of the world, particularly the people of Gaza who are badly
suffering as a result of the Israeli siege.
He said he discussed with Al-Barjas ways to deliver food aid to citizens in
the Gaza Strip, adding that Al-Barjas said that the Kuwait Red Crescent
Society is making every effort in its possession and potential in order to
assist the people of the sector to alleviate their suffering as a result of
the Israeli siege.
He thanked the State of Kuwait, its people and the Kuwaiti Red Crescent aid
to the Palestinian people, noting that the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society has
always been in aid for the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the
West Bank. (end).
