Gaza dismissed gov''t rejects Mitchell "bribes" for resumption of negotiations

GAZA, April 27 (KUNA) -- The dismissed Palestinian government in Gaza rejected on Tuesday what it described as "bribes" by U.S. Special Envoy George Mitchell, offered in his attempt to revive negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians.
The Hamas government said in a statement after its weekly session that lifting barriers, the releasing of Palestinian prisoners, and the lifting of Israeli imposed sanctions on Gaza are legitimate rights for the Palestinian people without any political tradeoffs, noting that the Israeli occupation must end such measures without any conditions, but instead they're being bargained.
The government also rejected the resumption of direct or indirect negotiations with Israel, calling on all parties to review all negotiations and settlement issues, and instead scrutinize all options and viable alternatives to obtain all rights for the Palestinians, the statement said.
The statement added that the current negotiator does not represent the Palestinian people, but instead the participation in such negotiations is a personal representation which Palestinians are not abided by, not currently or in the future. (end) mzt.mb KUNA 280002 Apr 10NNNN
