SANAA, April 26 (KUNA) -- Identity of the suicide bomber who attempted to
assassination the British Ambassador to Yemen Tim Torlot was revealed, the
Yemeni Interior Ministry said on Monday.
According to the "September 26" newspaper, the Interior Ministry said
22-year-old Yemeni national Othman Al-Sliwi, a high-school student, was
trained in Ma'rb governorate for the suicide operation.
The identity of the suicide bomber was discovered via his remains scattered
all over the embassy.
The UK embassy was closed after the suicide attempt.
Torlot began his diplomatic mission back 2007. The British Embassy had
closed back in January due to threats by Qaeda to bomb the facility. (pickup
