BAGHDAD, April 25 (KUNA) -- At least one person was killed and five others
were wounded Sunday evening when an explosive device, attached to a car, went
off in Al-Mansour district, west Baghdad.
The booby-trapped car was parking close to a shop, owned by head of 'Sahwa"
(local paramilitary unit) of Al-Dorra district, a police source said.
The shop owner, identified only by his first name Dhorgham, was killed and
five passersby were injured, according to the source.
The security agencies suspected the car and called in explosive experts to
detect it, but before they arrive the blast took place.
The security services cordoned off the scene as the victims were rushed to
a nearby hospital, the source added. (end)
